  • PRO Fader (200 mm)

PRO SERIES PRO FADER (200 mm). Not satisfied with the existing motorised fader choices in the marketplace, Midas created the PRO FADER, rated for up to a million cycles - replacement motorised fader for use in Midas PRO Series consoles.

  • PRO Fader (550 mm)

Not satisfied with the existing motorised fader choices in the marketplace, Midas created the PRO FADER, rated for up to a million cycles – three times that of other leading manufacturers - and providing high linearity, robustness, and smooth feel during operation. This decision yielded many other benefits, including total quality control over the manufacturing process and lower costs that could be passed on to customers. As a digital console manufacturer, Midas has a perspective on the actual application of motor faders that a component manufacturer would not have. The multi-disciplinary development project combined mechanical design, electronic hardware and software optimisation with a rigorous testing programme and an investment in material science to produce the best possible performance in actual operation in Midas PRO Series consoles. Semi-precious metals are used for the wiper fingers for their hard-wearing properties, and precision resistive tracks were created that offer highly linear positional accuracy, coupled with long-term durability and even response in use. PRO FADER (550 mm) features a high precision 100 mm travel track with a 10 kΩ linear law, ideally suited to servo control applications. The integrated touch sensing track and conductive T-Bar allow both the implementation of automatic channel selection in software, as well as detection of when the fader is being held so that the motor is not driven. PRO FADER (550 mm) is designed to be mounted to console fascia panels via its two M3 threaded pillars which are on 120 mm mounting centres. A 550 mm long cable is provided which includes connections for the 10 kΩ resistive track, the touch sensing track and the motor. PRO FADER (550 mm) is supplied as a set of five faders and is specifically intended for use in the centre sections of Midas PRO3, PRO6, PRO9 and PRO X Series control centres. PRO FADER (550 mm) is also a replacement for industry standard parts such as Penny+Giles PGFM3200, Alps K-Fader and other similar 100 mm motorised faders.

  • PRO LCD Switch

PRO LCD SWITCH enables dynamic and context-sensitive user interfaces, providing clear visual feedback of assigned functions and user-created labelling of mixing console channel, bus and group selections. The high contrast FSTN LCD glass with 36 x 24 pixel resolution allows immediate at-a-glance indication over a very wide viewing angle, and the tactile response of the momentary switch action provides confidence that the switch has been pressed, essential when the mix engineer's eyes are on the stage, not the console. PRO LCD SWITCH provides the key user interface functionality for the Midas console VCA and POPulation group navigation system, which mirrors the natural workflows used by mix engineers. The RGB LED backlight offers high visibility in all lighting conditions, and the colour coding offered by the 8 distinct displayable LED colours encourages the development of a mental picture, or “Mind Map”, of the whole console system. The flexibility of PRO LCD SWITCH ensures only the required control elements and associated visual feedback are presented, allowing users to adopt structured task-based workflows. PRO LCD SWITCH is suitable for use in all Midas XL8 and PRO SERIES digital consoles and control centres, including as a replacement for the Screenkeys RGB24T LCD switch.

Preamp

  • Microphone Preamplifier 502

The MICROPHONE PREAMPLIFIER 502 brings the award-winning Midas microphone preamp to the 500 Series format, available as an add-on to any mobile or recording system when used with the LEGEND L10, L6, or other standard 500 Series rackmount chassis. Considered by leading live sound and recording engineers as the very essence of the famous Midas sound, the preamp has been upgraded with four discrete ultra low noise input transistors and retains the soft clipping characteristic that provides crystal-clear audiophile reproduction with just the right amount of harmonics. The 502 also honours the legacy of the XL4 console by bringing back its swept low and high pass filters. A 12-position rotary switch sets gain from 0 to +60 dB in 5 dB increments, while a fully variable output trim potentiometer adds another ±20 dB of range for up to +80 dB of total gain. The input stage accepts signal levels up to +24 dBu without requiring a pad. Outputs are electronically balanced by default, with a switchable transformer-balanced output (TX) for additional tonal character.

  • Microphone Preamplifier 502 V2

The MICROPHONE PREAMPLIFIER 502 V2 is the award-winning Midas microphone preamp delivered as a 500 Series add-on module for mobile or recording systems, particularly designed for use with the LEGEND L10 or L6 500 Series Rackmount Chassis. The V2 iteration upgrades the original 502 with four discrete ultra low-noise input transistors, retaining the legendary Midas sound while extending dynamic range. The input stage accepts signal levels up to +24 dBu with soft clipping, gain is set via a 12-position rotary switch from 0 to +60 dB in 5 dB increments, and a ±20 dB output trim potentiometer brings total maximum gain to +80 dB. Twin balanced outputs (main and an auxiliary TX output) feed independent destinations, with illuminated push-button switches handling low-pass and high-pass filter engagement, phase reverse, 48 V phantom power, and TX output routing. Variable low-pass (1 kHz–40 kHz, -3 dB) and high-pass (10 Hz–400 Hz, -3 dB) filters provide on-module shaping, and 11-segment rotary LED meters monitor input and output levels.

Compressor

  • Compressor Limiter 522 V2

The COMPRESSOR LIMITER 522 V2 brings state of the industry dynamics control to a compact 500 Series format processor. When used with the LEGEND L10, L6, or other standard 500 Series rackmount chassis, the 522 V2 provides the legendary Midas sound in a modular format with upgraded, premium-quality performance. Its dynamic Presence control enables operators to add “air” to vocals without the unwanted noise or pumping effects found in competing products, and reduces the risk of feedback during live performance. The variable Presence function effectively gives the 522 V2 two different ratios — one for low frequencies and a reduced ratio for mid-high frequencies (centered around 5 kHz). The unit operates as a peak-sensing compressor in manual mode, or as an RMS compressor when the Auto switch is engaged, with selectable Soft or Hard knee response and a switchable 200 Hz sidechain high-pass filter. A true hardware relay bypass via the IN switch removes all circuitry from the signal path when compression is not needed, and bypass also engages automatically if the host chassis loses power.

Equalizer

  • Parametric Equaliser 512 V2

The PARAMETRIC EQUALISER 512 V2 is a 500 Series 4-band fully parametric equaliser derived from the channel strip of the legendary Midas HERITAGE 3000 mixing console. Designed for use with the LEGEND L10, L6, or other standard 500 Series rackmount chassis, the 512 V2 delivers the legendary Midas sound in a compact modular format with upgraded, premium-quality performance. Four overlapping bands cover the full audio range, each combining gain and frequency on dual concentric controls — gain on the inner knob and frequency on the outer ring. The Lo Mid and Hi Mid bands are always in fully parametric mode, while the Bass and Treble bands can be switched between shelving and parametric (bell) operation. A true hardware relay bypass via the IN switch removes all circuitry from the signal path when EQ is not needed, and bypass also engages automatically should the host chassis lose power.

In Ear Monitors

  • DP48

Dual 48-Channel Personal Monitor Mixer with SD Card Recorder, Stereo Ambience Microphone and Remote Powering.
