In 2010, when the acoustic world was running to cold digital modeling, Baggs chose a different route. We believed a real mic would do a better job of being a mic. Leaning into pure analog physics, we bypassed the digital emulation idea to create our award-winning Anthem System.
The Anthem SL was designed as the streamlined version of the Anthem. Utilizing a pre-set mix between the mic and pickup, you get the best tonal qualities of the Anthem with a simplified control unit and minimalist endpin preamp.
Building directly off of the specialized engineering of our Baggs Violin Pickup design, molding our miniature vibration sensor directly into the bridge, we adapted this same concept for the banjo.

Amplifying a ukulele used to mean taking a random guitar pickup system and trying to adapt it to fit, or installing a large, bulky onboard preamp/EQ system that weighed more than the instrument itself. We created the Baggs Five.O Ukulele Pickup to solve both of these problems.

Bowed strings vibrate in a left and right motion. That left and right energy is transferred through the “heart" of the bridge. Instead of just sticking a pickup to the violin, we created a pickup that became one with the bridge.
