  • Syntovox 222 Vocoder

The Syntovox 222 is a 1U rack-mounted analog vocoder module released in 1981 by Synton, the Dutch synthesizer brand known for the Syrinx and Fenix synths. It is a simplified yet versatile adaptation of the larger Syntovox 221 studio vocoder, imparting vocal articulation to musical signals through dual inputs and an internal unvoiced sound synthesizer for increased intelligibility. One of Synton's best-selling vocoders, it was handbuilt in the Netherlands and also appeared under different brandings such as the Dynacord SRV66 in Germany.
